Biography

Majumdar is the bariatric coordinator at Emory University Hospital Midtown and focuses on the care of bariatric surgery patients. Majumdar serves as National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is nominating chair-elect of the Academy of Nutrition’s Weight Management dietetic practice group. She speaks at national conferences on topics related to obesity and bariatric surgery, quality improvement, and working with the media. Majumdar has been an ASMBS member since 2011, working in industry and clinical arenas. She is currently involved in the IH Program Planning Committee. Majumdar is co-editor of the third edition of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Pocket Guide to Bariatric Surgery and is a certified specialist in obesity and weight management. A former college athlete, Majumdar has experience as a personal trainer and helps athletes maximize their performance. She earned a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
